Speaking of Cards relievers, what's up with Izzy these days?

I'm never going to discount the Cardinals too much, because LaRussa (DWI or not...) >>>>> Cooper, Baker, and whoever the Brewers have these days.

I just looked up Fotenots stats for last year. He put up decent numbers in minimal AB's. But the cubs better take care of shite either this year or next year. Lee will be 35 this year, Soriano 34, Ramirez 32. The big boppers are still productive but are getting to the back side of their careers and will probably be in decline within about 3 years.

Hopefully they have a run or 2 left in them before it's all said and done

1)The Cards
I pick them 2nd but I think like the last few years, it will be very close

The Reds- I overrated them last year and may have again this year
I would be willing to bet you did.

3)The Brewers
Think this team has seen its best days. Doubt they will resign Sheets, they need a closer (Torres is not a closer) and their Offense is good not very good. They will prob have the 3rd or 4th best in the NLC with us taking the other side.

Carlos Lee was already fat and out of shape and now he's coming off of injury.

And as for Los Astros, Tejada is now 43,
Last year he was down but still a huge upgrade over Neverhit which we have had to deal with for the 7 seasons before
Carlos was playing like one of the best in the NL leading the league in RBI's before the wrist injury.

Have Roy Oswalt who had a mysterious loss in velocity last year and nothing much else behind him.
Besides his curveball which is his best pitch

and Lance Berkman is light in his loafers.
and still one of the best in baseball
Sorry but Lance B.>Derek lee

Cooper>Garner
But yes, garbage

1) Cubs
2) Reds
3) Cards
4) Astros
5) Brewers
6) Pirates
What makes everyone have the Brewers so high? Have they even signed anyone to replace Sabathia and Sheets(assuming he doesn't resign)?
I just guessed on 2nd - 4th place. They are all pretty equal in my opinion.

What does that have to do with his velocity or Los Astros dos-cinco pitchers?

nothing with loss of velocity but you said nothing much behind him. I assumed you were talking about no other pitches behind him or did I misunderstand?

I think he means no velocity behind his fastball

No limpdicks, he means he has nobody else behind him in the rotation.

saying it like that would have cleared things up a bit but your right. B. Mohler was a nice suprise but I don't put to much faith in Wandy, or Backe. Who knows about Hampton. He played well coming down the stretch last year but if a feather falls on him he could be out for the season so i'm not gonna sing his praises till he proves something. We need to sign a starter but this rotation was the same last year and again, we won 86.

Whoa now... don't forget Randy Wolf.

I meant los astros don't have a dos-cinco pitcher

The Cards seemingly stay in the mix every year with random pitching staffs, and I think this year will be no different. Plus they have the best player in the Division on their team
