Stros said adios to Wolf. I guess they're hiding someone better. Don't see how anyone thinks the Astros will be ahead of anyone except the Pirates.

If Houston can come out of the gates well, they have a shot.

They always get hot around the mid or end of the season and just come up a couple of games short.

Don't get me wrong, I am an Astros fan. I just don't see it happening this year.

Astros fans should be happy with a .500 or better season. It just might be good enough for them to do something stupid in the offseason like trade half their farm system for Miguel Tejada and Jason Jennings.

He's not a 10mm a year pitcher imo. I think that was more than reasonable for the type of pitcher he proved himself to be over the course of a career. He's seems to forget the Padres basically threw him away mid way through last season

Yeah, I'm super excited about that huge upgrade at catcher from Brad Ausmus to Humberto Quintero.

The bullpen catcher may even hit better than Quintero.

I thought it was the new GM that traded for Tejada? No?

We have not had a good hitting catcher in a very long time and have been ok. The offense is not going to be the problem this year if we have a losing season

Right, but it's really Drayton making the big calls anyway over there. At least that's what it has always seemed like.
