The Cardinals are more of a regional team than a city team anyway. For decades before expansion in 1962 with Houston and the Braves moving from Milwaukee in 1966, the "South" as a whole didn't really have a team. Just like people who became Braves or Cubs fans mainly through TBS and WGN, the majority of old Cardinals fans, like my grandfather and my dad became that way via KMOX. They were by no means diehard fans like you have today, but they still followed them.

I've coached basketball for about 15 yrs and I've seen some pretty lopsided scores especially in girls games. I know of certain boys schools where you would have lopsided games...something like 84-12 going into the 4th Q and the losing team would just hold the ball with the other team just staying in a zone the entire time...8 minutes of boredom but the point was made.
I heard that Covenant was running a full-ct and half-ct press the entire game and Dallas Academy was having a hard time to break it to say the least. I would like to see the video from the game to see what actually happened. Maybe the DA coach doesn't know how to break a press either in man or zone....and it probably didn't matter what they were running if you can't handle the ball. I would also think that with Covenant playing that aggressive that they would commit enough fouls to at least put DA on the FT line and maybe they did and DA just missed everyone of them.
With all that being said the Covenant coach unless he's fresh off the farm or has a vendetta against DA should have known better. Don't embarass the other team like that. Don't embarass your school like that. Respect the game better than that.
