Calling a spade a spade (that he looks like shite) isn’t really a dunk. Nor does a stroke absolve someone from a legacy of being insufferable on a number of topics

Though I’d argue taking a non-ceremonial post in that kind of shape is inarguably selfish and counter to the needs of the Spurs organization, which he’s arguably already been failing the last few years as coach. That’s very dunkworthy

As a conservative, I don’t want people to identify me by my politics. I don’t really care if anybody agrees with my takes. Whatever legacy I leave isn’t tied to my political beliefs in an ever changing society. I don’t wish terrible things on someone just for having differing political views. Acting upon those views (I.e. looting, burning, killing, etc) is different.

Pop is a smart, educated dude. It’s sad that many conservatives are stooping to the level of libs and effectively acting out cancel culture. Pop was a positive influence upon the league, cared for his players, and crafted one of those most improbable small-market dynasties in all of sports. Who cares if he’s pro choice and caters to the race that makes up 90% of the league?

Hopefully they dont spend any time on his tantrums outside of sports topics and focus on the championships he brought to San Antonio.

Nah, he's always been a disgruntled, condescending prick.

Yeah, I’m sure he was a real jerk to those kids at D3 Pomona-Pitzer, or when he was at the end of the bench as a volunteer at Kansas.

He’s such a prick that his former players are still around the city and organization, flew in to see this moment, and openly express love for the guy.

Just because he's not a prick to everyone doesn't mean he's not a prick. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

Is that Tim Duncan next to him? If not for the face I would barely recognize him.

I'll never understand why people with strong political opinions get so bent out of shape about other people that have strong political opinions.

Lol

Is there a magic number of people you need to be a dick to? Other than his schtick with reporters, which was just that, who all has he been a dick to? He went out of his way to send a sick friend of mine, a complete stranger, a bunch of gifts and signed merch after I ran into him out in public and spoke to him for maybe 5 minutes. I haven’t heard a single player or NBA exec say a bad word about him. Hell, he even thanked the janitorial staff in his statement. He’s done a lot. He just doesn’t crave the spotlight for those things.

Just because you don’t agree with his politics doesn’t make him a dick.

Being constantly angry weathers a person. Steve Kerr is going to look like absolute death at Pops age

A magic number and politics have nothing to do with it. Never liked the guy; always seemed like an a-hole.

Ok. Cool. So he may or may not be a dick. You just don’t like that guy. Got it.

I thought I made that abundantly clear a few posts ago. You're the one in here white-knighting for him for whatever reason. You do realize we can have different opinions about the same topic, right? This is America, Jack, where your opinion sucks, and Pop has always been an angry dickhead.
