I THINK their idea is to have "versatility". Meaning, they want Jay for college basketball and Keyshawn for pro football.....so, pay them to host the morning AND have them for the other duties. Just my guess. But, it is likely a cost saving measure to have dudes doing multiple things rather than "specialists" doing one thing each.

Never listened to or watched sports radio/TV. The whole concept seems to be to say or view something as controversial to kick off some fireworks and get people to call in and rant and rave. 2 min of Finebaum is 119 seconds too much.

Golic Sr, was quoted several times, before his program with Wingo started, that he was close to retiring to Arizona. Doubt he's that upset now, and he's leaving with his son's career safe for now.

Screw ESPN, Disney, and all cable TV.
Cut them last month, saving $1500 per year.
Will mis some live sports on ESPN, but I can't send money to a company that gives racists people like J. Hill jobs and opportunities but crucifies any non-black person who says controversial things.

i don't think that's the case....
But Golic doesn’t plan on walking off into the sunset.
“I’m not retiring. I’m too young to retire. My wife won’t let me,” Golic said. “I’m back Monday and I’ll be back until July 31. I’ll talk more about it then, what I’m going to do. I’m still going to stay in the business. This was management’s choice to do it. Just like coaches, they have every right to do what they want to do. I would love to keep doing it, but not in the cards right now. We’ll see where it goes.”

No shite. Doesn't matter who is the talking head on the shows, it's all the same BS. Make shite up to talk for two hours or make outlandish claims to talk for two hours.

I disagree about him not being upset. His wife was on Twitter yesterday saying she went to bed crying, woke up crying and cant stop crying. I would say that is a good indication of how Golic feels as well.

This is true. Mike & Mike had chemistry on-air, and it was a great show. I listened to it on ESPN 2 while getting ready for work every morning, then in the car on the way to work. Golic & Wingo, I gave it a shot for close to 6 months, but it just wasn’t good. Trey Wingo is good on TV and as a fill-in on radio but being on the radio every day is not his thing.

If football season is cancelled there won't be any sports radio. Stations will change formats if there aren't going to be any sports for at least 6 more months, there won't be anything to talk about. Moscona will be out of a job too, that's why he's so "sure" there will be football - his job depends on it.

Mike and Mike sucked something awful, and Golic and Wingo was worse. That dude made a crap pile of money to suck at something, and got his kid a great gig to boot.
