See, what bothers me is them being different

I have a slight preference for DH since I grew up watching college baseball, but I wouldn’t be upset at ending the practice in mlb. What bothers me is that it’s ok in one league, but not the other. It seems arbitrary and makes my internal autism scream reeeeee inside my brain.

I hate the DH...but I voted for it because the only level of baseball that does not use a DH is National League affiliated baseball teams at the professional level.

The oldest of the professional baseball leagues. And the only one where real baseball is played.

I can say that when the Astros were moved to the AL, I was legitimately angry. I’d always hated AL baseball, and thought the DH was just stupid. Now that I’ve adjusted, I’d never go back. AL pitchers have to face nine major league batters. That’s not the case in the NL. I understand the strategy of having the pitcher bat, but it completely kills the continuity of a lineup and inning when they come to the plate. I’m a purist on most things, but games with the DH are more entertaining.
