you just said every analyst believes that Scheyer's FG% matches up with the other candidates in response to my 2nd to last post.

I was saying he is on top everybodys list nothing to do with fg%.

He is mr efficient.

FWIW Lester, zee will be in at around 5 since you really want to talk to him. He will probably start the Duke thread tonight as I play poker.

thanks for the heads up Zee

Duke has had a great season so far, in large part because of senior point guard Jon Scheyer's level of play.

Scheyer is yet another guy that has been overshadowed by John Wall at the point guard position, but he has done more than enough to get his name in the Player of the Year discussion.

Scheyer holds the best assist to turnover ratio in the NCAA, and that is why his team is in the Top 10. Not only has he been passing well, his scoring is nothing to snooze about.

With all the stars in Cameron Country, Scheyer still holds great numbers with 19 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Those numbers definitely put him at the top of the Player of the Year watch.

If Duke plans on going deep into March this season, a lot of weight will be on Jon Scheyer. I believe he has the ability to take the Blue Devils to the Final Four next month.

Collins doesn't have the stats, so he will probably be a 3rd team guy. I doubt he will care too much though if he leads Kansas to the national championship.

I have Kansas as my clear cut number 1 now (for the first time since the early start of the year), with Cuse second.

i mean he averages like a point or 2 less than other guys, with a somewhat significantly better A/TO ratio than all of them but scheyer (whose A/TO ratio is amazing). i dont think he's gonna win it and by no means should he, but reynolds and wall simply don't have much over him.

but turner's stats and shite are astounding. if he doesn't win, it's a sham.

Sheron Collins shouldn't even be top 5.

He was better last year.

Wall and Reynolds> Collins 2009-10 and thats not even debatable

yeah he's probably not top 5. i didn't even mention johnson or cousins or harangody.

i mean i could easily debate it. depends on what you want in the POTY. if it's only stats, yeah they have the points edge, but they are guards and sherron doesn't turn it over nearly as much nor does he do as much cool shite as john wall (which is apparently a HUGE factor), and he's the guy you want on your team in a tough one (still not arguing for him over them for POTY though).

the thing is, sherron had to be better last year for the team to win. this year, that's not the case, which is the best thing that kansas could possibly hope for.

A very good SI article on the subject. Pretty impressive stats...hard to argue facts.

Turner hands down.

Evan Turner or John Wall?

I would give Demarcus Cousins the nod over Wall.

Wall. He Drives the tank that is is Kentucky. Can't wait to watch Devan Downey score 30+ on them tonight though. That dude can flat out play.
