Duke isnt just better in my eyes. They are better on the computers.
Yes I watch all college basketball. Nova's weakness was Duke's the past years, no inside presence. But I guess you knew that.
Based on your opinion? Because it hasnt shown on the court.
are we talking teams now, or player of the year???
I dont care if you think Duke is better. In fact i'd expect that. The only team you would ever think is better than Duke would be a team with Thaddeus Young on it.
I never argued anything about trios or teams. Im talking player of the year.
Turner would have run away with award had he not been hurt.
Wall is the best player on the best team in the country in my opinion. He's my #2
and Reynolds is one of the top scorers in the country on one of the best teams.
Scheyer is 4th or 5th on my list. I think the POY should be more efficient scoring the ball than he is.

Didn't Nova make the Final Four last year without an inside presence????

Once again, they arent even on my final 4.

I don't really like the metric, but when looking at points per shot (I checked this a minute ago), here is the breakdown.
The Villain-1.41
Scheyer-1.47
Wesley Johnson-1.41
Reynolds-1.58
Cousins-1.52
Damion James-1.43
Harangody-1.30
The Villain-1.41
Scheyer-1.47
Wesley Johnson-1.41
Reynolds-1.58
Cousins-1.52
Damion James-1.43
Harangody-1.30

He is mr efficient dude.

Yeah, one of many reasons why I don't like the metric, but even Reynolds shoots 44% of his shots from 3. Scheyer is an absurdly high 54%, but the team is more balanced this year. I think they are at about 100 out of 300 D-1 teams.

he's a 42% overall from the field.
like i said, find the last POY to shoot that bad. TJ Ford maybe? You'd be hard pressed to find one to shoot that bad outside of him.
Redick for example, hit 47% of his shots from the field the year he won it.
Scheyer is a good player, he just doesnt match up in that regard to guys like Turner, Reynolds, or even John Wall.

Only in his first two years.
His blog has brought him down unfortunately.

then the analyst are stupid if they somehow think 42% is equal to
47%
48%
46%
I just don't know what to tell you dusty if you or the analyst think that.
ARe you going to tell me grass isnt green? that my shite isnt brown?
its pretty cut and dry

The original POTY candidates were Johnson, Wall, Scheyer, Harongody.
Scheyer and Johnson were above the others,
The new one has Turner instead of Harongody.
You are right its pretty cut and dry.

FWIW Lester, zee will be in at around 5 since you really want to talk to him. He will probably start the Duke thread tonight as I play poker.
Posted on 2/21/10 at 2:44 pm to KCBasketball
you just said every analyst believes that Scheyer's FG% matches up with the other candidates in response to my 2nd to last post.
I dont even know what you are talking about now. you are all over the place.
"the new one"??? the new what?

Let's put it this way. Anyone who thinks john wall should win doesn't know jack shite about college basketball and is a media homer idiot.
Imo, it should be evan turner.
