This is what is wrong. Attention all Jeff Davis School Board members and Jennings Community You need an emergency meeting First CONGRATULATIONS to the Jennings High Bulldogs winning the playoff game tonight !! We are very proud of you. ! The losing team from Plaquemine La after losing the game attacked our coaches and players !! One coach left in a ambulance!! One player has a broker nose Many were attacked and I don’t have all the details at this time on the others Even the principal of that school was on the field involved in this act of violence!!! There is ZERO tolerance for this especially on School property !! The police had to get our team in a building for their security till the stadium was cleared The police had to escort our team out for safety !! Many of our fans witnessed this act of violence and were very scared and shocked that this school allowed this to take place !! Please gather what you can from all players, coaches and our fans This team and school needs to be disciplined!! Arrest needs to be made !!!

We played @ Plaquemine last game of the year and they had what seemed like 3-4 dozen LEOs. Two 9-0 teams for district championship and first round bye. The game was anti climatic after the 3rd quarter - we went from being down 22-21 at half to being up something like 35-22 at end of 3Q and got an early 4Q TD if I recall to put the game away. No issues for us. But man, they talked a lot of shite pre game in warm ups.

WHat recourse would the Jeff Davis SB have over Plaquemine, something is not adding up.

I don’t know how bad this actually was but this reads like a Facebook Karen rant.
I’m sure Jennings played no part at all in a fight that lasted more than 5 seconds right?

I’m assuming this came from a Jennings parent and parents are usually pretty ignorant on who the correct person to contact is. They just assume that their local school board can do something about it.
I remember some WM fans being mad at the umpiring in their championship game against Barbe a couple years ago, and they were all on Facebook saying to contact the guy in charge of the Monroe Umpire Association. Like that guy had anything to do with the crew calling the WM-Barbe game in Sulphur. Same deal here. People just being ignorant.

Once I turned 18 and was introduced to the real world, I was shocked at how bad people are at writing, spelling, and using the correct punctuation or any punctuation at all.

Good times when Parkview pushed Jennings's poo in at Jennings in the 2001 quarters

The claim is someone spit on someone during the handshake at end of the game
There's about 30 different variations of who spit on who, but that's the story Plaqemine is running with
I doesn't appear that anyone's nose is actually broken....player, coach nor parent

Didn’t know much about the game before this thread. So a 3-7 3A Jennings team beat a 9-1 4A Plaquemine team. Louisiana has a weird playoff.

This is the key statement in a rant of wild accusations.
No need to read anything else. This person possess few, if any, accurate facts of the incident (or the ability to write above a 4th grade level).

WBR trash couldn’t handle being outclassed by Jennings, but really, JDP is the epitome of class in Louisiana, so they should have expected it.

Plaquemine is in Iberville Parish fwiw.

I was told the same story from a former Plaquemine’s coach’s wife. Accusing a Jennings coach of spitting on a Plaquemine player.

Private school from a metro area of over 700,000 beating a public school from a town of 12,000. Quite an accomplishment.

I was thinking what an odd flex too

I don’t know if it’s actually broken, but I know the coach and got messed up pretty bad trying to break up part of the brawl. That part 100% happened. He was the first dude I saw trying to get himself out of it, 2-3 Plaquemine players were throwing punches while the coach was trying to remove himself from the situation. He was trying to get away and Plaquemine players were pulling at him and he was trying to shield himself.
There wasn’t much chirping throughout the game so I was very surprised it started. The teams went out to shake hands, everyone in the stands kind of started leaving and looked up and noticed both teams throwing hands. Different scuffles of players got all the way into the north end zone from the 50. It wasn’t a couple going at it. I would say at least 10 from each side were included in different altercations. Swinging helmets, punches, tackling. It was wild.
Very odd situation. No clue how it started. I’ve heard multiple different things and really not buying the “coach spit on a player.” The coach who was more messed up definitely would not have been the one to do that.
It was pandemonium for about 10 minutes.

Police involved now. I see this going down like the FP-Carroll fiasco went. Will be interesting to see what the LHSAA does after sending out a stern memo on this kind of stuff this week.
It really is a shame at all the incidents that have taken place this year. I just can’t fathom all this foolishness.
