Never seen that before. Poor catcher if the pitch misses

I've seen baseball pitchers use thin rope horizontally to keep the ball down but the cinder blocks are a new one

Never seen it either, but I don't think the catcher is in a bind if she hits a block. They're not going disintegrate, and the ball ricocheting won't likely hit the catcher.

blocks the sweetest spot of plate.

this forces bama pitches to work both corners, thus limiting a batters chance to get that fat one down the middle.

Only problem, is that if ump isn't giving anything off the corners, she could struggle. But umps are horrible in every sports(officials also), so she will get shite 5 inches off the plate.

That's one way to block the plate.

We understand that. But why use fricking cinder blocks? maybe something not heavy as hell that could knock someone out.

Ah, I was wondering what it was there for.

Heavy as hell is what you want. That way if she hits them, the ball just deflects off to one side.

I know y’all aren’t dumb.

How would cinder blocks hurt someone in this situation?

WTF do y'all think is happening to the cinder blocks if she hits them?

Worst case scenario is the cinder blocks fall over towards the catcher. In which case, it wouldn't be that hard for the catcher to move
