Reggie Ball put up inferior numbers to Jefferson throwing to Calvin Johnson with a very good offensive mind (Chan Gailey) as his Head Coach in a far weaker conference. It's not even close who the better QB is in this comparison.

Jesus, this is a great thread.
Not kidding.
And I have no idea what the correct answer is.

God, what a find. I don't even have the effort to read through all of it right now. But the first two pages were something. A few people definitely hit the nail on the head.

someone says this(regarding Jefferson):
quote:
couple years of good coaching, and he'll be very good
then SFP responds with:
quote:
i think it will take more than a couple years. he has maybe the worst mechanics of any QB-recruit i've seen

After creating an algorithm, and running the simulation 10,000 times with WHY-BOT 3000...
...WHY-BOT picks Jordan Jefferson to roll over.

I'm not picking JJ against anyone.

As bad as Jefferson is, I'd still take him over Reggie Ball or any QB that has played at UCLA or Cal recently

It's a fair comparison, especially their nonchalant attitudes on the field, but Reggie Ball was magnitudes worse. Looking at their career stats from the links below: the completion pct was 58.6 for Jefferson and 48.6 for Ball, the TD-INT ratio was 34-20 for Jefferson and 57-55 for Ball, the passer rating was 127.8 for Jefferson and 104.4 for Ball.
And I'm pretty sure that Jefferson can count to 4.

I think Thomas had already backed out by that point, and I don't remember exactly but I think most people preferred DC, but really weren't overly thrilled with either
If y'all REALLY want to laugh, someone needs to find the thread comparing JJ to Terrelle Pryor when Pryor was thinking about visiting. I swear a lot of people said they would prefer JJ. I know Pryor was a knucklehead, but as a player, come on...

Reggie ball could make an extremely good case for being the worst 4 year starter in 1A history. I wouldn't even hesitate taking Jefferson over him.

Reggie and its not even close.
Posted on 1/11/12 at 9:28 am to BilJ
I'm taking Jordan. I think I can coach around his deficiencies. with The Great Reginald Ball, well, there ain't no coaching around that.
