@PhilJackson11: Whatever….my answer to the refs was: just call the violations on the superstars, make them play the right way-they make adjustments
And everyone called him out for MJ's legendary push off

@PhilJackson11: As per MJ's shot in game 6. That wasn't a push off. It was a helping hand to a broke down comrade. :-)

Blake really made that possible by holding Arther so he couldn't contest the lay up

Wow. The refs could have called a multitude of things on that play. Instead, they just stare on in awe.

The first 2 push-offs and the contact from Tony Allen are not really bad, but the last one from CP3 to get the shot off is atrocious. It knocks Tony Allen a few feet back.

I don't understand why professional and collegiate sports don't just allow the refs to review a play and call it differently.

It was a terrible defensive decision though to not double team him though. Why let a guy who has hit multiple jumpers in the last couple of minutes and is one of the top 5 players in the league go one on one is just stupid. Let one of the role players knock down a jumper to win the game.

Meh, no one wants to see Memphis advance anyway. LAC is a bigger draw.

Don't say that man these bandwagon fans won't want to hear. If the Grizzlies win the next 2 at home they will still have a chance.

Probably because they heard that Tony Allen is the best on ball defender in the league and they actually believed it.

He is easily one of the top 3 on ball defenders in the league. He shut down Crawford after switching over to him in the 2nd half.

Now I hope they get swept so PJ's prediction will be even more hilarious.

I don't see the Grizzlies losing both of the games at home, but the way they have been starting the 4th quarters there is no telling.

Frick that. Let them play.

Phil Jackson should just coach the Cavs and LeBron to victory already...

And that's why I hate the NBA. Their fans think cheating is okay if it boosts ratings.
I mean, frick. Why not just tell the Grizzlies they can't be in the playoffs at all? People would have preferred to see Dallas because Nowitski and Cuban are a bigger draw too!

Really?
Just think it through to its many outcomes and you'll know why.

Jordan's was 10x more blatant.

Meh, no one wants to see San Antonio advance. LAL is a bigger draw.
Sounds stupid, right?

I get that refs could just as easily screw up the review, but if they're being trusted to referee the game as it is, then expanding their refereeing abilities to conduct a review really shouldn't be that big a step.
And I'm not talking about coach-initiated reviews (which would theoretically turn any contest into a review-fest), just allowing refs, at least in game-winning/losing situations like this, to go review and miss blatant game-changing stuff (like Griffin holding the defender at the end).

I don't see the problem. That's basketball. People push off constantly during games. That one was actually fairly mild. But because its cp3 people are gonna be up in arms.
ETA: looking at it again, cp3 never pushes the guy back. He creates space with his arm and jumps forward to widen the gap. Smart player.
