LIV is PIF, just under a corporate name. PIF has 93% ownership. Al-Rumayyan is the defacto Chairman of the Board of LIV. I would not be so quick to say it is dead.
I would bet that Al-Rumayyan uses LIV to establish a presence in new spots around the world, work out some kinks in how tournaments are played and managed, and then ends up merging the best of LIV with the best of the PGA Tour.

But, you maintain there's going to be a process to "allow" LIV players back in the game by this BoD - as if Brooks and DJ have any possibility of being excluded.
How did you put it? Oh, yeah, "I’m sure the crown prince would be thrilled with excluding one (some) of the most prominent and biggest draws in all of golf after he spent billions."

Yes, there will be a process that allowed the back. It’s literally written in the initial dealings
Question, do you think it was childish, or even outlandish for a liv executive to say what he did about Rory there? It’s just ridiculous

They’ll gloss over that because these people are rooting for chaos and for LIV.
Why? I’ll never know.

Maybe the team events, some 54 hole tournaments, maybe paying appearance fees for top golfers, match play....I don't have those answers. They need to make adjustments to make it appealing for a tv audience. Having the best players from all tours able to play is step 1.
I'm saying I would be surprised if LIV is just shut down immediately after all of the investment Al-Rumayyan personally has in the venture plus the money. I think he uses it go expand the game into new arenas. Isn't that what he set out to do originally?

Personally, I think this was Al-Rumayyan's long game to get a seat at the table on the PGA Tour. Spending a couple of billion for that end result is nothing to him. He could fold up LIV tomorrow, go back to business as usual on the PGA Tour, and he basically spent a couple billion dollars to own the PGA Tour. That seems like a hell of a deal. The Saudis have been playing the same types of games in the international soccer circuit too.

Exactly.
They might be, so I’m genuinely asking, but are they out here fundamentally changing the other sports they’re investing in and buy up? It seems like they’re spending the money to get the access and then letting the leagues go on with business as usual.
Which, whatever, ok I guess.
I just don’t understand these posters rooting for things to get blown up or why they’re cheering on the PGA Tour getting absolutely butt fricked by money and interests outside of golf.
It’s like they’re just over here going “HA Ha, y’all got OWNED!” Why the shite would anyone root for that?

But a pga pro did say that, and my entire point was TO LUSTEN TO THE INTERVIEW to actual get more info. So I did literally, the exact opposite of saying to ignore it.
Your side is let’s accept any news we here as pro LIv as 100% fact, and ignore absolutely anything else

Wesley Bryan was downplaying the event you didn’t even know occurred. Several reports that Rory received a VERY robust negative response to his comment to Grayson.

I don't disagree with that possibility at all. I just don't think he will fold it immediately, if only for the optics.

Show me all the threads pre 2022 where these posters were claiming golf needed wholsale changes and the product was poor.Show them. The truth is those threads don’t exist, but the exact opposite does. There were threads galore on how strong golf was and how the pga was better than ever
So it’s a complete lie to act like they wanted anything more than drama. Bonds will come in here and talk about lay and financials, but how is that anything related to the fans? What does that have to do with him? And where were all his complaints on the pga and their payouts before 2022?

"They didn't help the game"
"They're not philanthropistic like PGA players"
"unconsianable human rights atrocities"
"Monohan is not to blame... It's Mickelson, Brooks. Etc greed"

Actually, he is shilling for himself now. The PGA Tour does not agree with his statements anymore.
