Did the PIF agree to partner with the PGA, invest billions

give board majority to the PGA?
You are just too stubborn to acknowledge the obvious. Is ok, everyone else sees you and monohan pretty clearly today.

Jay went up against a competitor that dwarfed him in funds, and turned them into a partner and himself into CEO.
This is some world class spin. Good on you. In reality, Jay mocked his own players for suggesting there could be a few golf tournaments that the pga didn’t 100% own. Now there isn’t a single golf tournament the pga 100% owns. Well done, Jay.

What it always wanted.
It’s simple. The saudis and PGA tour both win

Jay and the PGA tour won. Never said the players won, friend

Worked well enough to co-opt the PGA and DP World Tour

I just remember Monihan upheld the fine when Rory missed that tournament after the Masters. Think it cost him $3 million. Loyalty is a one-way street apparently.
Real chance Rory throws a punch at Jay the next time they see each other.

Sp what’s different about your employees and Jay moving forward?
Well for one, I’m not a billionaire with the power to tell someone what exactly he needs to say. My $30 an hour carpenter can see an issue on a job and fix it without asking me. To say that every single person on the planet is in the exact same position as Saudi billionaire and a golf CEO is one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever heard on TD, and that’s saying something.

If jay is a puppet simply because someone is paying him, then every employee on the planet is a puppet
Tell me, if not Jay, hi is the Saudi’s person that is going to be running the golf?

Those mandated elevated tournaments were Rory and Tigers doing to keep the crybabies in line. Then Rory skips out. That's dedication.

Recent tweet from Alan Shipnuck, who is writing a book on PGA vs LIV on who he thinks came out on top after someone tried to spin that Jay Monahan won the day.
No one in the world more qualified to answer that question
quote:
I disagree. His Excellency is the chairman of this new thing, which makes him Monahan's boss. LIV now gets access to network TV and Tour sponsors. The LIV players keep the upfront money and their franchises just became much more valuable. Monahan is merely head bureaucrat.
No one in the world more qualified to answer that question

Jay gained MORE POWER today. Agreed?
No. I'm curious how you know the ins and outs of this deal already though.

Wrong

That's certainly a take.

Nobody knows the ins and outs but everyone is acting like they do. Kinda what we do here boss

quote:Nah, I think it's a very rare scenario where Jay and the PGA did take a huge L just in terms of optics, but ultimately, Jay is coming out out of the bottom of this in a better situation.
You trying to spin today as an L for LIV to avoid admitting you were wrong has you doing circles.
Did Jay have to keep the Saudi money happy before or nah? Seems very clear the power dynamic has shifted and Jay is just answering to a different handler.

The USGA and the R&A control golf.
The PGA, DP TOUR, and LIV was a pissing contest between sanctioning bodies.
In the long term nothing really changes. Mergers are everyday business happenings.

So LIV players get massive contracts and pga tour?

It’s been confirmed that LIV is investing billions into the new golf tour and that the PIF governor is the chairman of the new board.
The Saudis will control the new PGA LIV conglomerate.
