The silver lining out of this. Business schools will now have a new case study to use for communications / disaster mgmt instead of trotting out " 3 Mile Island"

Most people probably care more about the second thing.

The biggest 2-face in sport is now Jay Monahan. At the end of the day, when the dust settles, the fact remains, The Saudis own a huge piece of the PGA.

They are business partners and that isn't changing.

I agree. I think Pride is considering him a winner because of the amt of money he’s making. That’s it.

We haven't even gotten to the nuts and bolts of what this means. I don't think LIV and PGA know exactly what all that will eventually look like. But that to be part of the new handholding.

Offhand, I see a lot more attention to the new international version of the PGA. I think the brand new "elevated" events that were just invented are going to get a new international makeover and soon.

Jay is a two faced snake. No doubt about it. But he just got billions injected and he is the CEO of all of golf now

I think if you had to narrow it down and pick one winner in this entire thing, it’s Jay.

Wonder if they will just discard all that Michael Block footage now. Who needs it?

PIF and top LIV players are much easier picks as winners. Jay could lose all credibility which could make his tenure short. Too early to declare someone who is so obviously and publicly a two faced snake, a winner, but you die on that hill if you want.

Was the money worth ruining your reputation? Permanently. I mean there is no coming back for him with this. LIV players hate him, PGA players hate him now. He even has 9/11 organizations shitting on him right now. And the CEO is only a title, he's a puppet and you know it.

Meh, brandel is a huge douche and his angle is ridiculous

But everything he is saying is consistent with what he has said before. He isn’t wavering or backtracking.

I don’t think he is a puppet. The Saudi’s don’t know shite about running a golf tour, clearly. They simply want their name on a good produxt(hence why they merged with the tour)

And clearly, he thought the money was worth it

Most of the LIV golfers are under contract through 2025, but can reapply to the PGA and European DP tours at the end of this season.

I’m curious if they still get all of their money, or if this deal nullifies their contracts.

You two should get engaged. Politics matter and your words matter. Monahan's words were brutal. I wonder what the value of his words is worth as commish after 4 PM today.

The 9-11 family organization just released a statement specifically addressed to Jay Monahan. They morally destroyed him. They lit his azz up in a public statement. There will be a lot more moral outrage to come.

Who are the investors in the new org? Can those investors block others from getting in? Do you think the guy that controls the purse strings has the power or the guy with the title?

DP world tour said all penalties and fines are still in tact of players want to rejoin the tour.

What that amount is I’m sure we will find out some details about that amount after the players meeting today

A puppet to me is someone making zero decisions. I truly believe the saudis want him to make the golf decisions. They want the tour model. It’s clearly a great model

So he has the power as long as they want him to have it? Are you there yet?
