good point... The Packers, Giants, and Ravens seemed to gain a lot of steam just at the right time. Each of them went on to win it all in the last three years when I'm sure the majority of NFL fans had other ideas as to who would hoist the Lombardi.

Saying Brees is 34 is kind of stupid, especially when Brady and Manning are older. I mean Brees has only thrown 40+ touchdowns and 5000+ yards the last two seasons. It certainly doesn't look like he's regressing, but I guess he can't play well at an old age like Brady and Manning...
The whole "flawed" and team with a bunch a holes makes no sense to me. And to see so many Falcon fans say this shite makes me laugh (not saying you are one). In 2011 the defense was OK, and the team won 13 games, with damn near the same personnel. That's all this team needs, an OK defense. That has to so with the scheme more than anything. The coordinator last year went with a scheme that in no way fits the players, Gregg Williams did. The attacking scheme produced a middle of the pack D, which led to a record of 37-11. Similarly to Williams, Ryan's scheme fits the exact bill. I'm confident that this team is still a contender. Are there issues on defense? Yes, but switching back to an attacking defense helps that out tremendously. Check my thread out on Saints Talk if needed, I pointed out some things in regards to their defense.

I think they each end up with 1 more

Kind of like Georgia sports teams?

i know it always will by some, but to judge these two or any qbs on superbowls is just dumb. Superbow wins are about "team" there have been plenty of mediocre at best qbs to win superbowls..dilfer, brad johnson, flacco.. brees and manning are two of the best reguardless if the win more superbowls or not. lucky for them they did win one or they wouldnt even get in that discussion. There are qbs that didnt get that one superbowl but should always be in the "best" discussion. Marino will always be in my top 3-5. And while he isnt in my top 5 Jim kelly was an amazing qb. Yes he is known for losing superbowls but he was just as good if not better than aikman but the cowboys had a better team!

Brees is better than Manning. I think it's time we all start accepting this fact. GOAT.

Says the Louisiana sports fan
Saints: 7-9 missed playoffs
No baseball team
Hornets:
At least you have LSU, although they did lose to Clemson

I mean, in recent memory?
A Superbowl from the Saints (you wouldn't know what that's like), along with actual playoff wins ( I know you're happy about that one win recently from the Falcons). Watched the Saints have arguably the greatest offense of all time in 2011, We can debate this if you'd like. Also, an 11-3 record vs the Falcons since 2006. And, that 7-9 team, without a fricking head coach while undergoing the worst punishments in NFL history, still beat your team. Don't worry, Payton is back, and order will be restored soon enough. Those who say they won't win shite with this defense fail to realize that they won 13 games in 11 with basically the same exact d. Ironically it was using an attacking scheme similar to Rob Ryan's.
2 Championships from LSU in football
Championship in baseball, with another probably coming this season. A promising basketball team next season.
The Hornets are a super young team with a shite load of cap space, they will be a perennial playoff team in probably 2 years.
I don't give a shite about MLB.

Every thread involving a Saints or Falcons player turns into a flame fest.

And you have the falcons, who can't make a Super Bowl, and had your greatest team of all time lose to the saints worst team in the Brees era. And Georgia, who lost to Boise state two years ago, lost back to back sec championships (including a pounding to that lowly team that lost to Clemson,) and haven't won a national championship in football in 30 something years.
Georgia is championship country
Georgia is championship country
