wahoocs,

All I can tell you is this has been in play for a few months.

It has nothing to do with sanctions though.

I wasn't fishing.

Merely pointing out that the end results for the direction of the program could be determined expediently.

USC will arguably have more riding on next season than any other program.

Right now we are trying to hold together what probably would have been arguably the top recruiting class in the country when all was said and done.

Anyone with a brain knows there's more to it than that, although I think it may have played a part. The problem is what it looks like to the uninformed observers.

Bush and McKnight wont destroy USC. The penis envy for USc is laughable.

That's just it. There are no sanctions coming.

We have a new administration coming in. Our AD is on the chopping block-- he has run almost every other program at USC into the ground. He's trying to save his job to the detriment of our Athletic Department.

Well, of course, the value of your possessions must be substantial in order to suffer a great loss.

USC has been my second favorite team behind LSU since the 80s. I still don't get the whole hate USC at all cost activity on the RANT. If we were in there shoes, we would have done the same thing with the AP. I do enjoy having the crystal ball though!

if by destroy you mean leave them in better shape than when he got there, but much lower than his peak of 4-5 years ago, then yes.

This should be factored into the heading also!

Trua dat. And every team (UF, LSU, Bama, UT, OSU, et al) accepted their AP NC.

I don't know why this is so hard for people to grasp.

Especially now seeing as how de-valued the BCS has become. The BCS national title game participants are constantly disputed.

Given the fact that media gives Pete Carroll and Southern Cal credit for a national title that they didn't win and very seldom mention the fact that LSU won the BCS Championship that year and considering what fanbase this board represents, I can understand the disliking of Pete Carroll, Southern Cal, and the majority of sportswriters/broadcasters.

Only because it put teams in the game that sounded acceptable to most college football fans. If TCU started higher than Texas, no way UT gets ahead of them.
