no, I'm serious. You made an excellent argument. And it pains me to say this, believe me.

I would feel the same if roles were reversed

He does make a good point. But right now the Big 12 champ and SEC champ are in the drivers seat unless they lose 2.

Looks like USC playes too many OSU teams

(is that how you spell that fricking word?).

Nope, but it's a great point... gives a good cushion for the Big XII and SEC eventual champs, if they finish with a loss.

great logic. lets have a team who got demolished by 30 points be ranked ahead of the team that did the demolishing.

Had Va Tech not lost to BC last year, they would have gotten the nod over LSU to play in the NCG. That's a fact...complete bullshite...but a fact.

Walk the walk and schedule a home-and-home with them.

Well VT woulda then had 1 loss compared to LSU's 2 losses. Big difference.

I am pretty sure this has happened before.

Dont remember all the details, but Miami beat FSU early in the season.

FSU ran the table from there, Miami lost 1 more game.

But because FSU lost early, they got back and went ahead of Miami in the rankings and eventually won the championship with 1 loss while Miami also finished with 1 loss and had beat FSU.

i think a 1 loss sec team should make it, but there will be a chance for big 12 and sec to have 2 undefeated teams playing for the conference

That's probably what most fans of "big teams" are thinking.

History doesn't support that fantasy of yours though.

We almost always win the "big games" against "big teams". It's the Oregon States and Stanfords of the world that give us grief.
