First, let me say I'm not talking about a blown call or a once off league punishment or something. I'm talking about a complete fundamental fixing of who will appear in the SB, World Series, NBA championship, etc.

Do you really believe the NFL/NBA/MLB/NCAA has predetermined who is going to be in the championship game? If so, how do you think that works? Help me understand.

Does the commissioner pull all the referees together before the game and say "I have determined I want Kansas City vs Green Bay in the Super Bowl. Further, I really hate [insert your favorite team here], so let's frick them over big time." From what I've seen the reasons for why two particular teams will meet in the championship are insanely elaborate and require multiple levels of cooperation, secrecy and sabotage.

By the way, every team in the NFL has a message board. And every message board thinks Goodell has decided who will win the SB and it's not their team.

If you really do believe this, why would you be a fan? Why watch if there's a massive conspiracy for your team to lose? Or perhaps it's a coping mechanism. By thinking the evil power brokers won't let your team win, it's a way to not get your hopes up. I'd love to root around in your brain and better understand your position.

I think some games are influenced by refs for sure to benefit the leagues. But probably only to the extent of keeping games competitive and prevent blow outs.

If you try to claim that Lakers-Sactown game 6 wasn't rigged, then you should ask for a R/A to delete this thread.

There's too many lines that are blatantly decided by the refs to make me think that there's no outside influence.

That Saints Rams non-call was horrible. But do you people really think the league had the fix in for that game?

I loved that Kings team. I don’t think I’ve seen a more blatant case of meddling.

It was Game 6 that was rigged:

Sports aren't rigged.

People make mistakes all the time.

Not even remotely the same thing.

Not the whole game because the Saints had plenty chances to put the ball in the end zone in this 1st half and failed.. but it did come down to a horrible call at the end... but it’s NOT how many times you get flagged it’s WHEN. Bad calls or non calls during the game that end up changing momentum is what is key...... I’m telling you that the Bears will get a majority of those kind of calls today.

If an election could be rigged, a fricking game of basketball or football could be also. Nothing "sacred" about sports. If there's money and people involved, expect unscrupulous behaviors.

Not just directed at you but to others as well- if refs decide games, is it systematic? Is it part of an overall massive conspiracy designed to put certain teams in championship games? And if so, why do you continue to watch?

Did you really NOT think the Lakers were going to win after Kobe died?

The refs manipulate the out come...like when the Saints lost to the Rams. The only 7 people who didn't see interference were the 7 people paid to call it.

NBA

Most subjective officiating.

Easily manipulated. But the NBA has to do it otherwise the sport is beyond terrible. As it is, when controlled to make watching playoff games only matter until the final 10 minutes, it's barely watchable.

NFL is multi billion dollar business ... to believe they don’t manage the product is ridiculous. They don’t got out and say cheat for Brady but there is a enough culture, talking points, business models etc that the desired outcome based on collective actions is almost assured.

If you can get the bet, bet heavy on a Packers Bucs nfc title game. It will happen.
And it is essentially predetermined and rigged.
