He represents all that is wrong with the NBA. He couldnt do it so had to join a team with other top talent to buy a championship.

As a result of his actions I cancelled by NBA direct tv pass and bought zero NBA merchandise. frick Lebron!

It's posts like this that make me kind of wish the Mavs weren't in the Finals so I could root for the Heat.

Cleveland is in Ohio...who the frick said it wasn't, but to assume all of Ohio is like Cleveland is as ignorant as you.

And I would still like a response from my OP from all you know-it-alls.

You're right. Places like Akron suck far more than Cleveland. Since LeBron spent his formative years in both Akron and Cleveland, I think he was waiting for the chance to get as far away from those shitholes as he could.

Cincinnati is nice, but that's because it's practically in Kentucky.

I can't blame him, but I live in CBus and grew up in Cincy and the difference between those two places and Cleveland is large IMO.

Wade/James have been average in the playoffs except for a few games. Bosh carried the Heat past the Bulls.

Everyone hates on him till he's on you're team. If he went to any other team he would be welcomed with open arms.

All they will do is throw out his triple double, but clearly ignore his body movement and emotion in the past 5 minutes of the game that basically said, "I'm done with Cleveland."

Why do people constantly care about who others like in sports?

he may have been done with cleveland... personally I think if could have gotten bosh or wade to go there then he would have stayed... but they weren't going to opt to live in cleveland when they could live in south beach with no state income tax IMO

I do think he was sick of not having a second playmaker at Cleveland to take the heat off of him there... when he wasn't outstanding or was taken out of games by double and triple teams (as the celtics did) then he took all the criticism

If I were him I would have gone to Miami too... hopefully I would have had the judgment to realize the "Decision" broadcast would be a PR nightmare... but overall that is a trivial issue to me

If you are a neutral NBA fan and you hate Lebron, then that's kind of strange, but by all means, have a sound argument based on more than The Decision.
The Decision and not shaking the Celtics' hands (ZOMG THAT'S SO AWFUL) are the only two things he's ever really arguably done wrong; that's a cleaner slate than at least 75% of the league.

I like how we praise people for these things, like it's a challenge to go through life without beating a woman or leaving your kids high and dry. fricking shame.
Nobody's praising it. I'm pointing these things out because if I'm going to hate a person, they have to actually do something bad. Lebron doesn't do any bad things to anyone, and we all know this. But it seems that most hate him more than other players who actually do do really bad things to others occasionally.

As for Lebron, I love watching him play. It would have been a great story if he could have stuck with the hometown team and brought them a title, but no one knew that situation better than he did. He took advantage of what he was presented with (in terms of free agency), just like everyone else does every year. No big deal.

Hundreds of thousands already have. Cleveland went from 900,000 to about 400,000 in the last 60 years. Looks like a lot of people are saying, "Hey Cleveland, go frick yourself."

Name a player who has won a title with an equally bad situation.

Whom do you hate more--Lebron James or Dan Gilbert?

Who cares about not shaking their hands. You are ignoring the fact that he quit in a playoff game.

IMO that is far worse than The Decision. And FWIW the Decision wouldn't have had a fraction of the impact that it did on me if he didn't quit in that game.

Well I really don't like either. Lebron for previously stated reasons and Dan Gilbert for writing the letter. They both were wrong.

ETA:

But I'm not sure what that question is trying to prove
