Yeah Herbert is a stat machine , but not a winner
Dakota has more skins on the wall, but Herbert is more exciting to watch.

The OP is spot on, everyone piles on Dak but Herbert gets every excuse possible.

Herbert has always been overrated, and was crowned way too early as being an elite QB.
However, he’s carried that team during Staley’s tenure. Herbert has a defensive-minded HC, but the Chargers defense has sucked the entire time. Herbert is forced to step on the gas throughout every game because he has to keep pace with the other team, or he’s playing from behind.
He’s had three different coordinators in only four seasons. The Chargers have done nothing to take advantage of his rookie contract and add talent around him.
