I think the bothersome thing with Baylor (outside of someone being murdered obviously) was that Dave Bliss or his staff never even contacted Dennehy's parents to say he had been missing for days, when they maybe could've found the kid still alive. Bliss then apparently lied about then dead Dennehy being a drug dealer to cover up illegal payments made to cover his summer tuition.
I think they're both up there, except Bliss got caught for his bullshite and had to answer for it.

Just about every big time college program in the country did the same thing SMU did.
If not for one drug crazed loser SMU might have gotten away with it.
I doubt coaches are raping kids at every Div 1 college

SMU was pretty revolutionary.
Also, it wasn't quite as bad as the death penalty, but in the 50s there was a MAJOR scandal that I THINK went all the way to the supreme court involving Bear Bryant and Wally Butts conspiring to fix the UGA/Bama football game. At the time it was a big, big deal.
This PSU thing it huge, but it's not QUITE football related. I know that sounds wrong, but it didn't involve the football field or football players...rather some football coaches and random other people and administrators.

Penn state isnt really a sports scandal... its criminal and civil case.... unless the ncaa does something, the ccny 4 death penalties is the biggest ever...

i think this is a different ballgame from SMU. pay players to play is not considered egregiously wrong.
