I'm not going to read through the entire thread to see if anyone has mentioned this, but is it possible that the NCAA is going to kick them out? Can they even do that? That is the only thing they could do that would be worse than the death penalty.

Make up the school? Tsk what they do put blush and lipstick on it. Hey school you're looking hot and stuff let's go on a date or sumfin.

Did these child molesters give Penn State a competitive advantage? If not, then what the frick is the NCAA doing sanctioning Penn State?
So Ole Miss should have never gone on probation.

No way I say. Too soon. The NCAA would have to do their own lengthy investigation. But if they are handed down, it will be interesting to see just how these "harsh" penalties stack up against others.

Death Penalty coming

Maybe I should've said "run" instead of "make up"

Except you had to play Bama again and this time they had y'all figured out. Yes, I would rather beat ucla by 50 than lose to Bama by 20. Call me crazy, but it's the truth.
you really got me there. I would much rather beat ucla by 50 and not be able to play in a bowl game. Making the national championship is overrated

10 games last year, with "nothing to play for" thanks to Emmert and those NCAA fox ticks. Beat long time rivals Notre Dame into a pulp, and won our last game against some shitty little team accross town 50-0. How'd y'all make out in your last game? We are also having a pretty good off-season in recruiting. Mark Emmert and the NCAA can go eat a bag of dicks.

The people who "run" the school and allowed it to happen are already gone from the school, right? Is there anyone left who covered something up that is still at the school? Any names of these people?

They paid money to PSU so via proxy they support child molesters. Also everyone on this board supports child molesters via the NCAA and PSU being a member. We should all be punished!

PSU is, like, part of the universe, man. The universe should be punished. Death to everything!!

This is why the NCAA is a joke. Miami violated so many actual NCAA rules with drugs, money, hookers, etc. no punishment yet after a year. PSU may have broke a few NCAA rules outside of what the legal system has taken care of. All their knowledge is based on a report the BoT had paid to be done. A BoT that need to escape from the heat as well.
That investigation is still ongoing, as evidenced by the release of testimony quoted by Charles Robinson on Friday. Nothing has concluded in that process yet.

So being inelegible for a bowl game because of sanctions > winning the sec and losing in the national championship?
Excuse me but your bias is showing. Good luck with kiffin though, i hear he's a real straight shooter.

Loweralabamatrojan, if USC and UCLA were 1-2 in the polls and met in the regular season, with USC eking out a close and hard fought victory at UCLA, and at the end of the season it was USC 1, and say 2011 Oklahoma State and UCLA with 1 loss (to USC) as possible opponents, which would be more appropriate as a title game opponent in your view?
Just curious. Not trying to flame. It's the closest scenario I can think of and just want your take.

Great - Leave it to a congressional oversight? Look at Fast and Furious - That worked so well.
If you want this to work, grant the NCAA subpoena authority somehow. Give them some teeth with penalties for non-compliance and watch how schools blatantly (USC, Auburn, OSU, Oregon, Miami, etc.) begin to toe the line.
