Per Schefter on SportsCenter just now. Game was already moved from today to tomorrow night. Now it looks like it will probably moved to next week where the Patriots had a bye week. Broncos game against the Dolphins next week would then be moved back to accommodate.

This is getting ridiculous. We have the information on the virus now. It is in fact slightly less severe than the flu to these players. We have to move forward

Baseball went through this same thing. They pushed through and persevered. The NFL will do the same.

Silly take.

No it’s silly to shut everything down for positive tests when no one is getting actually sick

Logistics are much harder for football. They are running out of time with the titans already, unless they are going to make them forfeit or push the playoffs back

But if they all get it, then they’ll spread it to the 74 year old obese people who will surely die of it!

Wait a second....

I feel like a considerable amount of these positives were quickly shown to be false positives too.

This is getting ridiculous

This is where I start having an issue. The Dolphins and Broncos are doing everything right and have zero positive tests, but their game has to get pushed back even when there is no shared bye week to move it to. How can you reschedule that game when the Broncos will now have their bye this week? The answer is it won't be. It will be cancelled because they are not playoff contenders and the Patriots are.

The Patriots knew Cam Newton had dinner with Gilmore while he was positive, and yet put Gilmore on a plane with the rest of the team and played him against KC before enough time had passed to know if he had caught it. If it were a backup he would have never made the trip. But the Patriots were not going to sit their best player, and they knew the NFL would not punish them for being irresponsible.

The NFL had the virus under control the first 3 weeks until teams started realizing the NFL would accommodate them no matter how poorly they controlled the virus. So now you have a free for all where teams are not going to sit or isolate star players unless they absolutely have to due to a positive test. And players are not going to take distancing seriously anymore.

NFL doing their best to help TPTB maintain the panic over the virus.

If the game is played, at least we get to see Drew Lock vs Cam Newton.

What about the coaches? Refs? Offensive lineman?

Nfl knows they can’t risk a death without a lot of measures in place

Unless they are over 70, covid mortality is in line or less severe than the flu

And now the Titans have shut down their facility again after a coach tested positive.
