He had a bit more than just an ACL tear and had one year in a gimmick offense that overrated him a bunch.

ACL/LCL tear was the first major. Reinjuring is the risk after the first tear.

Carson Palmer was also never the same, and eventually re-tore his again

Sucks for him, but 9 seasons is a long time in the modern era to get by without a major injury

He is in his thirties. If everything goes absolutely perfect then he’s got just a few years at elite level anyways. This is a big setback and it may not happen again.

He better be healed before Taylor’s wedding.

Now he’ll have more time to do all the gay things he likes to do.

Normally I hate to see guys injured, but not so much this time. The way Goodell and the league protected and marketed Mahomes was nauseating. And the Chiefs being eliminated from the playoffs at the same time is just icing on the cake.

That being said, I hope he has a good recovery and can play a few more years at a high level without the assisted success he’s had up til now.

What do you have against him personally? Have you ever met him?

Think he’s back game 1 easy. I bet it’s not that bad.

I bet you if that team was 11-2 and looking at home field in playoffs, he would have been diagnosed with a knee strain and would be back for playoffs.

No, he was never the same. He only played another twelve years and in 2015, ten years after his injury he was runner up for league MVP.

Mahomes style of play doesn't exactly help him with as much as he scrambles

Plus the Chiefs oline is in shambles without enough $ to fund a reboot
Mahomes gonna have to restructure and plenty of holes all over the roster
Jones looked bad this season at DL

So he’s 32 when comes back from a torn ACL. Good chance it’s over as far as being an elite qb ever again

The moment he loses that ability to roll right and that deceptive speed that gets him 30 yards when guys are playing man down the field he’s going to drop a tier. Thats a HUGE part of his success.

Mahomes could learn a lot from Brady on how to be more of a pocket QB as he gets older. A QB that is running around and scrambling is for the young dudes, Mahomes needs to focus and work on being more of a drop back and pocket QB.

Sure but that's not what makes Mahomes Mahomes. Brady was much better at reading defenses and throwing guys open. Mahomes a lot of the time has to scramble his dudes open.
