Schefty not breaking this news is disappointing. McAfee will at least be better than what they’ve had recently. That lead in to MNF has sucked for a while.

Do people really like that dude? I'm not trying to be a dick, but he annoys the hell out of me. He's probably in his 40s but acts like a 14 year old boy. He's not really funny or anything, doesn't have much good insight on things, but he is really annoying.
Now we're at the point where he's oversaturated and they're just forcing him on everyone.
Whoever makes these decisions at ESPN needs a good knuckle sandwich.

They tried to incorporate him in the Masters coverage last year and Augusta said no thanks. Something tells me they’ll succeed this year after Kelce was allowed to parade around.

I don't watch his show, so I only see him on Gameday or when he pops up randomly like at Trump's event the other week. I don't watch MNF pre-game either.

Kirk, Pat, and Steven A. are three of the few ESPN employees that I can tell are putting in alot of work. I am glad his work ethic is paying off. I also like how he takes up for his crew. They tried to move him to the front table at the ESPY's and he refused so he could stay with his team.

Do you not understand??? The sports world is filled with cartoonish morons like him. It’s a plural statement not a declaration of Pat McAfee is the single reason I don’t pay much attention anymore… There’s a huge difference between having passion and love for the sports you cover and simply trying to be the most obnoxious person in the room. Pat is obnoxious, Steven A is obnoxious, Finebaum is obnoxious. The list goes on and I have no desire to tune in and watch especially when it’s a middle age man who sounds and acts like he’s at a college keg party.

No reason to get all defensive — I knew exactly what you meant.
I just find it weak that you’d stop paying attention to sports because of a handful of on-air personalities… personalities you can almost completely avoid while still watching the actual games.
