Why?
If he’s leaving for the NFL it will be a much better job

Lol, what better job will there be?

Generally only bad teams are in need of coaches.

The only possible better job might be Dallas if they finally dump the clapper but there you have to deal with Jerry’s bullshite.

Cowboys and Giants if they fire their coaches are better jobs.

Since he is Hispanic then any team who interviews him doesn’t have to deal with that idiotic Rooney Rule so the line will form to the left to interview him. I wonder if Jerry has any interest. Ron seems to be a good guy so I’m not sure if he would want to deal with all of that nonsense. This might help the Saints the last week of the season if Carolina wants to tank.

Early front-runners are: Jim Mora Jr, Ray Rhodes, Marty Mornhinweg and Norv Turner.

I hope no one takes that list seriously

Wow. If I were a Panthers fan or worked in marketing/ticket sales for the team, that list would cause me to run to the top of the nearest bridge. Bunch of shitty, shitty, shitty retreads.

Why not just wait 4 more weeks to fire him?

Well they're already a couple years too late anyway

I like how you quoted the part about not taking the list seriously and then you took the list seriously

Holy shite that can’t be true. If so, MEGALULZ.

Why not call up Marty Schottenheimer or Mike Holmgren out of retirement? Maybe Brian Billick.

Overreaction IMO, did you expect to contend when Cam went down? Cam was already playing hurt

Maybe, just MAYBE if Rivera had drafted or signed some OL worth a shite this decade, or brought in some talent at WR so you didn't have to ask Cam to do so much on the ground, then maybe Cam wouldn't have had these nagging injury problems the last few years.

Since Cam got drafted they've literally only drafted 2 OT, one was in the 4th round and the other was Greg Little this year. Even the ones they signed in FA were either from UDFA or washed up has beens.

Rivera sucks at building personnel on offense. 90% of his draft picks on offense were pure shite, outside of Cam, McCaffrey, and Trai Turner, and to a lesser extent Moore and Samuel.

My guess is that there was a disagreement between owner/management and Rivera in regards to moving forward with Cam in the future. Ron probably dug his heels in and got fired for it.
