public relations and probably pressure from the NFL itself

Oh I get that that is the answer but that's pretty absurd.

It shows zero leadership or vision.

If my son knocked a woman out, I'd knock his arse out.

The problem is not the MSM (surprisingly). It's with the NFL. they suspended him then overreacted when the video leaked. Now there are conflicting reports that suggest the NFL is lying and covering up the investigation.

I would lose it. I also know that if I did that to my wife, I wouldn't be worried about my job. I would be worried about her father shooting me. I would literally have to go in hiding.

This is what is odd to me. They say the video "changed" things, but the video seemed to confirm what we already knew.

What did they think knocking a woman out was going to look like?

I don't really have any sympathy for Rice, but it is absurd how the video allegedly "changed" things. The pandering is off putting.

The video "changed things" because it went public.

The coward is Ray Rice, plain and simple. He viciously struck a woman twice, knocking her unconscious. You aren't going to impress anyone by standing by his side during all of this. For once, the MSM is fighting for a legitimate cause. There is no place in an organization for someone who behaves like Rice. Period.

You totally missed the point.

“Ray had given a story to John [Harbaugh] and I,” Newsome said, according to the Sun. “And what we saw on the video was what Ray said. Ray didn’t lie to me. He didn’t lie to me.”

Then why didn't Newsome cut him then?

Newsome never wanted to cut him. I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Goodell accused Rice of misleading him yesterday.

I just can't understand why the video is causing so much uproar when we already knew what happened. I mean honestly, considering we've already seen him drag her limp body out of the elevator the video was about as tame as it could have been. I mean it was a little love tap and then one good pop. It could have shown him hitting her repeatedly.

The outrage over the video makes no sense.

If Ray Rice had just been punished 6 to 8 games he'd still have a career; talk about irony: Goodell screwed Rice by under punishing him.
exactly.

Actually it was Steve Bisciotti's decision. Newsome is just the hired help.

Nice to see your inner racism rearing it's head.

Because of Political correctness

What if Ray confessed everything straight up and was remorseful and begged for mercy? (sounds like he did)

And the wife and team showed forgiveness based on his response and repentance?

Is that wrong? I think that's a good thing,right?

But because the entire nation saw this video after all the crying and confessions we know need to punish him again because "We the fans" just saw how bad it was?

It really is sickening how this is being played out.

Can you imagine doing this to your own son?
I cant imagine it happening to my son because I dont have one. But I do have sisters and I would have done everything in my power to have Rice strung up in the streets

Lemming alert. Yes, Rice needs help and still deserves an oportunity to earn a living.

Who the hell are you to determine how or where he does that?

only to morons.

What did they expect a punch from an NFL RB to look like? One which admittedly knocked a woman out cold. Morons.
