Amidst all the cowards throwing Rice off the bus in order to save their own asses and appease the MSM, it's good to see at least someone still has some honor and integrity.

In a story published Wednesday, Ravens G.M. Ozzie Newsome said he believed Ray Rice was truthful to him in his account of the February incident in which the now-former Ravens tailback struck his fiancee.
Asked if the version of events Rice told him matched the reality of the video released by TMZ, Newsome told the Baltimore Sun he believed Rice had accurately described the altercation to both Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh.
“Ray had given a story to John [Harbaugh] and I,” Newsome said, according to the Sun. “And what we saw on the video was what Ray said. Ray didn’t lie to me. He didn’t lie to me.”

You know, I got to thinking today about Ron Artest attacking a fan during a game.. A FAN DURING A GAME! and he was allowed to return to the NBA in a reasonable amount of time.
What Ray Rice did was awful but it really shouldn't cost him his entire career.

No one is saying Ray Rice lied. The liars are in the NFL front office.

Goodell accused Rice of misleading him yesterday.

So the Ravens released him this week and not 5 months ago because?

If Ray Rice had just been punished 6 to 8 games he'd still have a career; talk about irony: Goodell screwed Rice by under punishing him.

You do realize he was the one who terminated his multi million dollar contract?

public relations and probably pressure from the NFL itself

Actually it was Steve Bisciotti's decision. Newsome is just the hired help.

That's why Ozzie was not at the press conference. He was opposed to the decision.

You can't actually believe this, right?
The coward is Ray Rice, plain and simple. He viciously struck a woman twice, knocking her unconscious. You aren't going to impress anyone by standing by his side during all of this. For once, the MSM is fighting for a legitimate cause. There is no place in an organization for someone who behaves like Rice. Period.

Because of Political correctness
What if Ray confessed everything straight up and was remorseful and begged for mercy? (sounds like he did)
And the wife and team showed forgiveness based on his response and repentance?
Is that wrong? I think that's a good thing,right?
But because the entire nation saw this video after all the crying and confessions we know need to punish him again because "We the fans" just saw how bad it was?
It really is sickening how this is being played out.
Can you imagine doing this to your own son?
