If u excel in just one sport (for example ohio state in football..i could be wrong but when do they ever win anything else)

Teams not in an order have won multiple natties in multiple sports in modern times

LSU Football baseball track
Florida football mens basketball
Uconn men/womens basketball
Michigan football and hockey

Ohio State is one of only seven universities to have won an NCAA national championship in baseball and men's basketball, and be recognized as a national champion in football. Ohio State has also won national championships in women's ice hockey, men's swimming & diving, men's outdoor track & field, men's volleyball, men's golf, men's gymnastics, men's fencing, women's rowing, co-ed fencing, co-ed and women's pistol, synchronized swimming, and wrestling.

As of now????? Depends on what sports you are talking about….

Since I’d say Florida..
Softball has won
Football has won
Basketball has won
Baseball is always good
Gymnastics is always good

There's a thing called the Director's Cup that is awarded each year to the nation's top overall athletic department.

Texas has won it 3 of the past 4 years.

Prior to Texas' run, it was all Stanford - but that was when having every single obscure sport known to man allowed you to easily grab up points for winning badminton and whatnot.

congratulations on the 1966 baseball natty and the 1960 basketball natty. these are relevant championships worthy of discussion in 2024.
