We haven't seen how this crop of FAs will contribute on defense or how Spags scheme will work in year one. As a homer, I don't think the delta is nearly as wide as last year.

I never saw one niner fan on here until last year. And most saints fans I personally know have been for years. Seems to me most of you were niners fans when they were good with young and Montana, you went into hiding after that, and you magically show up when they are good again. The fact that most of you are lsu fans just makes me laugh. I guess lsu was good enough for y'all but since the saints weren't doing too hot you all figured you'd be front runners with the niners.

Of course Hebert never had a season that good. Hebert was shite. Actually Hebert is a good comparison for smith. They both had nasty defenses but they can't do too much them.
