I just read the KTUL article I’m not sure what to make of it because a protective order is not a charge but if you grant it why not move forward if Cleveland County thinks they have something.

Off topic, have they figured out the stuff in Bixby yet?

OU backs and rape?? not sure what you are talking about.

Now if you had said OU backs hitting and knocking out women, then you have my attention.

It’s all good they will suspend him for a year and then Boren will tell the country he learned his lesson and deserves a second chance.

OU is a disgrace

I killed OU over the handling of Mixon, but this reeks of “regret rape” or a jealous scorned lover.

She conveniently remembered better the day he was running all over TCU in the Big 12 Championship game? Hmm.

because the burden for a protective order is different than the burden for a criminal charge. and for all we know, she did file a police report, they neglected to file formal charges, so this was her next best option

There is an open file an ongoing investigation at Norman Police Department.

More internet rumors... Apparently there are text messages from this girl to Rodney Anderson in between November 16, when she was allegedly raped, and the date on which she filed the police report. The rumors say that these messages show this girl trying to pursue a relationship with Rodney, but he declined and ended up in this situation.

Rumors only, along with most everything out there at this point.

ETA: NVM, Rodney has come out (through his attorney) and said that she tried to pursue a relationship and he's declined several social invitations since 11/16.

Yeah, no matter how this one plays out, the optics are terrible. Hope its false, but if true, get him the hell out

People need to get over the optics of this shite. It's not fair that the media and Twitter mob string up someone just because one person makes a claim.

No one has any idea if any of this is credible anymore and this is what the fricking feminists have done to situations of rape claims.

False accusations and watering down the offense to a maddening degree have put the credibility of REAL rape accusations at risk.

I hate it that its come to this, but frick these people who go to the media before the authorities.

Disgusting. I truly believe in a law that sentences these people to jail time for false accusations. It's out of fricking hand at this point.

Allowing someone to play after physically punching a female knocking her out for the whole world to see while your President and coach only offered to say he deserves a second chance is disgrace in and of itself.

Boren made a good decision kicking SAE offcampus. He made horrible decision in allowing Mixon to return and play. Everyone outside of OU can see the blatant double standard and hypocrisy that exists within a major college football program.

I agree. It was a bad decision and out of character for David Boren. I would have been fine with him getting his second chance elsewhere.

Still, don't think "OU is a disgrace." That's just a dramatic statement.

Anyway, didn't Craig James kill five hookers while he was at SMU?

There are laws in place. Unfortunately, they aren't always pursued. It does happens sometimes, however.

FYI, the Cleveland County DA just held a press conference and announced that no charges will be pressed against Rodney Anderson. They confirmed that the girl pretty much made everything up. They cited review of text messages and coversations with the accusers friends, which all showed that nothing at all happened. The last several text messages from the accuser to Rodney Anderson all went unanswered. At that point, she remember she was raped.

And she’ll get a pat on the back for starting the conversation of athlete rape privilege, I’m sure.
