Aug 29 Opener

In a strange turn of events, OU actually moved a game left by a week and will open Aug 29. I’m wondering how this could impact other university’s strategies. Maybe will give us a peek on the look of college football.

Someone will be along soon to say that there won't be a season.

I heard this being discussed on sports radio last week.

The strategy is stretch the season out, more open dates, more time between games, more quarantine time if required.

It's quite hilarious because now the get a bye before Tennessee.

That's all they wanted

Better get there early, game could be over by the first quarter, if it’s an SEC team

The delay is idiotic. Flu season peaks in Jan-March. These idiots wanted the season to BEGIN then. The southern schools are smart. They know even 5 or 6 games is better than none. Pac 12 is trying to delay right untip late sept.

I don’t want to come on here and talk shite about Tennessee, but come on. 2019 LSU has a very legitimate claim as the best college team of all time. Tennessee is Tennessee.

His post game interviews after the LSU and Alabama losses are comical. Just pure delusion.

Seems like a much better approach than pushing it back and cramming everything into a shortened period with little recovery times factored in, or eliminating games.
