Resigned at Oregon State for next year.

Probably sick of agents and coaches calling him and also helps OSU recruit.

Imagine they had to have raised a boatload of money

Having an announcement ceremony for this may be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen lol

Nick Saban to @PatMcAfeeShow: "I talked to a college coach this week who has a bye week next week, and all he's doing is meeting with agents. It's the middle of the season! Guys are worried about how much playing time am I getting, what I'm going to do if I don't get enough playing time. I'm playing well, so how much money am I going to make next year there or someplace else?"

"The reason we're seeing a lot of these inconsistencies in performance is people are struggling to sustain their intensity week in and week out. Maybe it's people are more conditionally committed to their team because the circumstances we're putting these players in. ... If you can't sustain intensity, you can't sustain the level of performance you want to sustain, you can't play smart, you can't play with intelligence. It all starts with your mental energy, and that starts with your commitment to your team and to your development as a player."

Ohhhhh, I didn't know he was an alum and major supporter of OSU. The next Phil Knight of the Northwest?

Oregon St probably put him up to it. Some good pub for them instead of "who's going to poach the OSU wr in the offseason?" for the next 2 months.

Kid thinks he's LeBron

The level of entitlement that these freaking teenagers/young 20 somethings have is off the charts. And the idiots in charge enabled this.

He probably did this at their behest to help with recruiting

This dude is acting like he’s prime Rueben Randle. I’m not saying he’s a bad player, but let’s look at his level of competition so far:

Houston
Texas Tech
Montana
UTEP
Colorado State
San Diego State
Washington State

His worst game was against Montana interestingly.

Yep. I’m a die hard fan of college football so I still watch, but the current landscape sucks. Miss the old days before NIL. And even the college playoff.

There's a good chance he surpasses Randle's career production in this regular season.

240 receiving yards as a freshman against Texas Tech is damn impressive. Not to mention, he's playing for Oregon State so half his competition is against better teams.

I hate this era of college football. "Oh the players just want to be able to make a little bit of money working a youth sports camp or appearing in a car dealership commercial". Now we have freshman using their bye week to renegotiate contracts to return to school next year and then holding Lebron-esque press events to announce "the decision"

It makes them look like a shitty G5

No one’s asking good SEC players where they’re going next season
