That's what people don't realize. Everyone says, oh I would have fought it tooth and nail. Bullshite, once you go to trial innocent or guilty, the stain would've followed him and nobody would've recruited him. Guilty by accusation...happens a lot in society and especially in sports and especially in emotionally charged situations like this where nobody really cares about the outcome but simply the accusation.
FWIW this would have been the same advice he’d be given even if he was guilty or innocent. That he was talked into a plea doesn’t mean he was also innocent. It’s possible, sure. However, regardless of whether or not he did it, I do think OSU knowing about it and still signing him only because they knew the records were sealed (no publicity) says a lot, about OSU and us as a society.

This, this, and more this! What the hell are you guys talking about taking the plea to seal the case? The plea didn't seal the case....lol. So he plead...for nothing...but to get it over...
And I call total BS on if he was innocent it may have been easier to plea...what? If he was innocent to raping a minor you don't fricking plea. More so, rarely does a case like this get taken to trial that is not a slam dunk. This was not a he said/ he said case here.
This guy should get absolutely no sympathy.

Kids are easily manipulated and make false claims all the time. Parents with grudges coach their kids. I’m not saying the kid did but it’s possible

Not necessarily I mean remember the Syracuse things? That family ruined that coaches life and then another kid went with cancer to get free stuff and access.
