I agree with OP here. It would've been alright if they messed with the cars for a little bit and then let them go but they went too far with it.

It just was convenient enough of a story to be the same situation.
I don't even know what we're arguing about. Obviously the correct reaction isn't to jump into super self defense mode, but there are people out there that would panic and either use their car to get out of the situation by gunning it and hitting someone or by drawing a weapon. If it wasn't a professor dealing with college kids you might have seen a different reaction. And I know it's "just snow" but the guys packing it hard and throwing it like a baseball pitch into the car and the guys dumping buckets of it in a car are way overboard.

In the past I've been very 'meh' on Oregon. This season, I full on hate them. Glad they're not getting into a BCS game.

Agree with the OP. Throwing a few here and there in a snowball fight is meh, but they were dumping snow on his windshield and wouldn't let him go. If it was me, I would've waited 10 seconds and then started driving. If I ran someone over, not my fault, they dumped snow on my windshield would be the perfect excuse
