Lanning maybe should’ve declined the penalty. Would’ve been 2nd-and-4 instead of 1st-and-20, but would’ve been a free timeout, instead of putting it back to 1st down.

That was already the case. All it did was take 8 more seconds off the clock.

Oregon will have about 30 to 40 seconds left to work with, i think

the hold didn’t change that. It simply ran 8 seconds off the clock and Washington gets to re run 1st down

I think taking it was right. Counting on holding Dillon Johnson to under 4 yards with 2 plays is too dicey.

It’s gonna be about 10-15 seconds.

If they would have declined the penalty and stopped them it could have been about 50 seconds.

UW has gained 11 yards on these two plays with Oregon going full run defense. 8 seconds vs game being over already
