Lanning maybe should’ve declined the penalty. Would’ve been 2nd-and-4 instead of 1st-and-20, but would’ve been a free timeout, instead of putting it back to 1st down.

Pretty much guarantees they either have to throw or will go to a 4th down if they keep it on the ground.
That was already the case. All it did was take 8 more seconds off the clock.

Oregon will have about 30 to 40 seconds left to work with, i think

If they punt Oregon gets maybe 3 plays

I think taking it was right. Counting on holding Dillon Johnson to under 4 yards with 2 plays is too dicey.

It was a great game RIP pac 12.

Oregon fields the punt with fair catch with about 13 seconds.

How much money is Chris Fowler passing on by being relatively selective with his workload. Dude is the best in the biz. Miss him in game day still.

After a punt, it will be more like 8 seconds left

It’s gonna be about 10-15 seconds.
If they would have declined the penalty and stopped them it could have been about 50 seconds.

I take it back. Fair catch occurs with 8 seconds left

Look at how Dillon Johnson has been running. You can't possibly let them have 2nd and 4

UW has gained 11 yards on these two plays with Oregon going full run defense. 8 seconds vs game being over already
