when you have a 120+ teams boiling it down to well so and so went undefeated so they must be more deserving is hot garbage. Look at who Notre Dame played and beat this year. Their schedule is weak, weak, weak.
Only 12 games out of 120 with 8 or 9 being in conference flat out does not give you a very good idea of who can do what.
Never mind that its rare to have two undefeated teams ready with a bow on top. Every time you get to 1 loss teams its basically a bullshite grab out of the hat and generally whoever started ranked higher at the start of the year will get the nod.
