But seriously, ESPN is busy trying to invent 10 new storylines involving the New York Knicks right now.
Numbers Never Lie had a guest host the other day, and she mocked the show for talking about the Knicks during the playoffs. Immediately thought of you

Da fuq? He's dating a half black, half Mexican girl who can sleep with whoever she wants so long as she doesn't advertise it? Is he saying she slept with Magic? Cuz, uh, there's that little HIV thing right? I mean, right? Magic didn't drown his HIV in money for real, right?
This whole situation is just...screwy to me. Sterling has got a whole pack of his own known issues but this is just bizarre to me.

Sterling's wife is also suing the girlfriend

They just reported it on ESPN

Yeah. Goodluck finding that old cranky Jew clause.
Marge Schott comes to mind.

I don't think he believes Magic is screwing his chick. Besides, the way anti-retrovirals work, Magic is barely more infectious than someone who is negative. I'm sure Sterling puts himself at greater risk for HIV on any of his random one night stands (still low).
I think he just doesn't want it to appear as if his mistress/girlfriend/sugar baby even associates with black people.

If any of the LA Clipper players had an self respect, they would not play one more second of basketball for that team and a man that openly hates blacks and other minorities
Lol this is such bullshite. Since that's what Jackie Robinson did when he was faced with racism right? The players are just going to work. They don't play, they don't get paid. If anyone wants to "protest" it should be the fans going to the games, buying merchandise, concessions etc

lol did you just equate today's athlete to Jackie Robinson? Their experiences are probably slightly different.

I will say that if I was an NBA free agent who was anything other than a 13th man-type scrub, I would never sign with a Sterling team.
There are about 1,000 reasons why, and with the salary cap and free agency, everyone has extremely comparable situations with at least 5 other teams (other than rookies/RFAs and scrubs)

Not necessarily, wasn't the best metaphor. But the idea that the clippers players should just protest is stupid.

People are opening their eyes.
I wish I would have seen it. I was off Friday.

quote:All I know about Sterling is what I read in an article about him at least 10 years ago, which called him the worst owner in sports: He doesn't really care about winning and losing, and keeps the Clippers only so he'll get treated like a big shot among the L.A. in-crowd (Tier 1).

So does he even care who signs?

Just got the espn alert on the app about this

If it's really that bad fans won't go to their games and hell be forced to leave..
Posted on 4/26/14 at 12:54 pm to Kafka
He started caring in the past few years. I think he finally realized he could make even more money by winning. Once his new GMs got some great players either through luck (Griffin) or great evaluations (DeAndre Jordan and Bledsoe), he started to spend for talent.

What--ESPN's Chris Broussard has learned that Donald Sterling said something racist?
Posted on 4/26/14 at 12:58 pm to lsutigers1992
Sources have told Broussard about an audio clip.
What would we do without his sources?
