They waited until the NBA issued an official statement and Magic Johnson tweeted about it.

How ESPN of them.

If it ESPN didn't report this I was thinking he would escape unscathed. I'm not so sure now. All of the other stuff was he said she said and things settled in court. This audio might be the thing that finally takes him down. With the NBA anyway because he'll still be rich as shite.

Everybody felt the same way when the Manti Te'o story came out.

Then ESPN started doing things like this and it went away.

Don't assume anything yet.

Sterling has always been a vile human being.

they had to put in a salary cap floor, because of him. He wanted to spend as little as possible and rake in the tv money.

Y'all give ESPN too much importance. ESPN isn't the arbiter of what's newsworthy in sports. Facebook and TMZ are more important for news even news in sports.

Legally, the biggest question is did she illegally record their conversation?

Not to take up for this guy, who has shown his arse over the years, but a black girl in her 20's dating an 80 year old racist? Sure, she has no agenda

I think Social Media (and the ensuing faux outrage that can be expressed on it), is much more powerful than ESPN. And the current power of social media has only been around for the past 3 years or so, maybe even less. Sterling could never have gotten away with all the shite he did in today's media climate. The NBA would have Marge Schott'd him really fast.

Btw, I think the outrage against Sterling isn't overblown. Especially when you look at what he has done for 25-30 years. He is by all means an awful human being. If a Communist propagandist could create a fictional character to incite the masses, he would have created essentially Donald Sterling.

ESPN effectively shut down the Big East Conference just because they wouldn't sign a contract with them.

And ask the NHL about their league's visibility and perception since ESPN dumped them.

ESPN had people brainwashed into believing that USC was the greatest team in college football history and ignored their cheating for almost half a decade.

Unfortunately, California is one of the 12 two party consent states. However, this could have happened outside of CA, I suppose.

Jesus this is stupid. The Big East schools shut down the Big East conference because they didn't sign that contract.

I like how snoop calls being a "red neck white bread" like it's a derogatory thing. Nothing like combating racism with racism.

White bread is by far the best bread.
