So he shouldn't be able to own a basketball team because he's racist? That makes sense.

Yes, it does make sense. Think about it for more than four seconds and you'll most likely agree.

This is very meh news.
Everyone knows DS is racist.
He didnt go into a verbal tirade like Mel Gibson

My favorite was DS talking shite court side directly at Baron Davis while hes shooting free throws after he just gave him a 100mil contract

If any of the LA Clipper players had an self respect, they would not play one more second of basketball for that team and a man that openly hates blacks and other minorities

Par for the course.

I respect his honesty at least.

What's funny about the whole thing is that the girlfriend is black/Mexican.

Isn't it common knowledge that Sterling is racist?

It is, but he had been doing a nice job of not doing anything this blatant lately.

Other than the large payment deal he made with HUD to settle charges of housing discrimination?

Its pretty much common knowledge that Sterling is a racist.

He has money though, so he can get away with it a lot more then the average joe. I doubt his players come into contact with him that much anyway. As long as his checks clear, they probably couldn't care less.

Lots of people work for people that hate or don't like. The majority of those people do not get paid millions.

It's his money, but it's not his league.

if you start limiting ownership of companies to only non-racist people, you're gonna start running out of people who have enough money to own companies

It's his money but if you're doing something that can harm your "boss's" brand then yes, you should potentially be forced to sell.

I have freedom of speech but if I show up to work in a Klan hood then I should probably be fired.

Sterling's downfall is that he's too open with his racism and it's bad for the Association's image and could potentially lose them money.

Well that's fricking stupid. He's educated, has money and has successfully been running a franchise for over 30 years but he has a different opinion than me so he shouldn't be allowed to own a basketball team.. I'm sorry, I thought this was America.
