Only 3 teams in the American League with a record over .500

And one of those teams is the As who are 18-17
This league is a joke
Right now…
What a crazy stat at this point in the season
Every team in the AL central is lower than .500

And then you have the NL Central, where everyone is over .500

Virtually no one from the AL has a chance to compete with the dodgers and some expected contenders like the Tigers are down three or four starting pitchers already (Skubal/Mize/Verlander/Jobe).

Definitely been a lot of disappointing starts in the AL. I thought the East would be the most competitive division this year but the Blue Jays, O’s, and Red Sox have really struggled and already 9 games back in the division. Still early and I’m sure one or two of those teams will turn it around.
Who knows who will win the Central. Detroit is taking a hit with injuries. Only 1.5 games separate first and last place.
Kinda the same with the West. Houston is dealing with a lot of injuries. A’s, Seattle, and Texas have flip flopped leads.

And remind me again, who is in 1st?

The AL east sucking has been the biggest surprise so far. I thought one of the Orioles/Jays/Sox would compete with NYY at a minimum.
AL central is a clusterfrick. I’ve got the royals winning that division with Skubal out for awhile
AL west is shockingly bad. Hell I really think the A’s have a legit shot at the division if they can find some more pitching

Do athletes not play through injuries anymore? I’m thinking back on a lot of players I used to watch and wonder how much time they all would have missed if they had modern doctors/training staff.
Jeff Bagwell played with a bum shoulder for 5 years. He probably would have been sidelined all those years these days.

Is this gonna be a weekly thread now?

Astros doin' pretty good considering they're fielding a minor league team.

You mentioned minor league roster. I honestly have no idea how the Ray's, do what they do. After their opening 3 game series vs the Cardinals. I thought they might lose 90 to 100 games.

Yankees are the best team in baseball. That's what happens when you have the Greatest player in the game. Yankees could win 110+.

I'd put money on the Astros losing 90.

Ohtani better than judge so that's a lie.
Yanks aren't coming close to 110.

And they won’t need to to win the AL, dummy. Take a lap.
