I would care if they were more relevant.

Yep, it's one thing to get a top 20 class every so often (hell we got pretty close to it this year) but when a program like ole miss gets a top 5 class with commits from all over the country then you know there is something up. Especially when its a first time coach like Hugh Freeze who was coaching women's high school basketball not long ago.

State fans have been clamoring about ole miss cheating for decades and it took them beating alabama twice to finally get the NCAA snooping around and it's going to set their program back a decade.

Hopefully our coaching staff can capitalize in recruiting the next few years as the Mississippi high school football classes of '18 and '19 are some of the best we've ever had.

The all-over-the-country bit is what had people piping up their ears.

I know the Treadwell recruiting saga pissed off a lot of ND and Michigan fans.

Bowl ban (even if 2 years) will be over by then and those recruits will much rather go to the Grove and Ole Miss than the dump that is Starkville.

Baylor has to be hit harder, right? Gang rape and rampant sex assault is the zenith of "lack of institutional control", right?

Bowl bans are no big deal to kids. The big thing will be if they lose a ton of scholarships. A school like OM will struggle to recover if they get sanctions similar to what SC got.

Yeah, a bowl ban is no big deal at all unless you have something flukey like OSU going undefeated while bowl banned.

Scholarship loses are the absolute killer. USC is only just now getting back to 85

Bowl bans are important - the free swagg bag alone they get is motivation for them to succeed.

Bowls are good exposure for NFL players too - it's not huge or anything but the players want to be on the biggest stages.

USC and PSU players were allowed to transfer without penalty. I'll be curious to see if this guy sticks around. Put him on LSU team next year

Holy shite

I was starting to think they were gonna get away from all this with minor penalties, but LOIC?!

They're so fricked.

I think his family got upset that LSU didn't promote his brother or something. He seemed to have no interest at all in LSU
