Can you imagine how bad an 8 or 12 team playoff would look when garbage like OU will more than likely make it into a Top 4 format?

They’ll lose at least 2 conference games if they don’t improve greatly. All 4 of their games have been at home and the 3 fbs teams have been within a touchdown.

IT's not about deserving, it's about giving more teams and their fans the chance to feel like they had a successful season now that bowl games really don't mean shite anymore.
The bottom line is that more teams with a chance to make the playoffs should equal better attendance for those teams and more eyes on more televised games.

More than that, this might be the year that a G5 team makes it. Cincinnati's got to get through Notre Dame, but if they do, the P5 field looks so soft this year that they might finally give a G5 team a shot.
