They're all manufactured. They're saying what they're coached to say.

I dunno. Sure you want to say things approved by your coach but that interview felt like it was designed to get the talking heads to gush over how mature, driven, and humble he is for the next few weeks.

I get what you're saying, but Lincoln basically came back and repeated it.

Do I think they're both disappointed? No, I think they're putting on a front, but I don't believe Jalen is leading it, if that makes sense.

Lets talk about that. Getting sensei'd by saban and riley. Belichick may draft him as a safety

Most post-game interviews are a waste of time anyway. 99% of the time you know what they're going to say before they say it. Yes, OKlahoma could have played better; they should have scored TD's on every possession given how terrible Houston was on defense. All of his TD passes were to wide open receivers with no one within 5 yards. Jordan Jefferson could have made some of those throws. When someone is always echoing the coach, it tells me that they lack the ability to think for themselves. That's what I saw in his interview, a canned response, that either he was just obeying orders, or can't think for himself. There's a thing called false humility; that was so fake.

It's just you.

WTF is it with you people? And y'all are SEC fans? Have you literally never seen a Jalen Hurts interview? What you saw in that Jalen Hurts interview is what you've seen from him since the very first time someone stuck a microphone in front of his face. If you're asking this question, it shows that this was literally the first time you've seen him interviewed. SEC veterans who've seen him interviewed over a dozen times saw exactly what they've always seen.

Hurts is 100% class. That's why he measures his words carefully and isn't going to say anything that can be taken out of context by a journalist trying to make a name for himself.

Maybe Saban taught him that, I don't know, but Hurts shows a high level of professionalism every time a mic is in his face.

Hurts is also very dry. Almost all of his interviews will look like this.

Even when he’s excited.

All last night did was prove and reinforce the OBJECTIVE FACT that Nick Saban holds his QBs down whereas Lincoln Riley liberates them, Jalen was simply sensational
