Goddamn, Big Ten. What's in the water up there? Apparently officials knew about it as well and didn't do anything. Guy is dead now so don't expect justice, but still.

Dude, read the report.
The most salicious accusation was touching balls (which especially in the 70's) most athletes would think it was part of a regular physical to see if you had normal testes, no growths or at least two balls.
The rest seems to be oogling. Requiring players to strip regardless of their ailment, streep throat or a bum knee. Apparently the sexual abuse was from this gay doctor as a voyeur. The articles say he hung around showers, etc.
It's not like football players were letting some doctor frick them up the arse and walked back to practice.

Without reading, is Garret in college at this time?
I'm sorry, but I wasn't some helpless dumb child in college that didn't know the doctor shouldn't be grabbing my dick to check for heartburn.
I'm not victim blaming, this doctor was sick as frick. But I do want to know how this is possible with adult aged males.
