But you’re from New London, OH and were posting on the same Ohio sports message board as pretty much all of the OSU fans in this thread. And you discovered TigerDroppings at the same time as the rest of us when OSU and LSU were preparing to play for the 2007 BCS Championship and the funny OSU look-a-like and lsufreak’s videos were posted.

I get that you’re surrounded by OSU fans; my cousin’s husband is an OSU fan from your hometown. So I get that your dislike of OSU is more personally relevant, and it makes sense that you focus on OSU more.

And people are can be fans of teams for any number of reasons in addition the usual reasons (close geographic proximity to team, grew up with and/or around fans of team, attended or someone close attended university, etc.). So I’m not going to gatekeep your basic LSU football fandom, or even your Kentucky basketball fandom.

But the best of my knowledge, you have absolutely no connection to LSU or Louisiana, or even an indirect connection, other than living like 30 or so miles from Les Miles’s hometown of Elyria. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve never step foot on campus (or maybe even in the state), at least until long after you became the fan that you are now. I also wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t have a single personal connection (i.e., a connection that would exist regardless) with anyone at (or previously at) LSU.

But you act like you have a deep personal connection with LSU, like the alum, students, parents, Louisiana residents, etc. who post on here. And you almost assuredly have far more personal connections to OSU, whether that’s family, friends, coworkers, etc. who are students or alum, or just the fact it’s the flagship public institution in your home state.

So it’s a little weird that when it’s purely college football related you post as if you have this deep personal connection to LSU, like many who do on this board, as if you have no connection to OSU. And what’s even weirder is that this extends beyond just sports, as if you despise or don’t care about OSU as an educational institution, the flagship institution in your state.

And what’s the absolute weirdest is that this appears to even extend beyond the universities themselves to the geographic areas and their cultures that are primarily represented by these institutions.

The prime, and by far the weirdest, example was you making fun of the attractiveness of OSU girls, because LSU and other SEC/southern fan bases like to argue how hot the girls are at their universities and in the south and how much uglier OSU, Ohio, and even northern/midwestern girls in general are.

But when they call OSU girls ugly, they’re not just just making fun of OSU as their attractiveness isn’t caused by the university they attend nor do universities select for attractiveness (if anything they would select for more attractive anyways), they’re making fun of the places where those girls come from and even the other ugly girls who didn’t go to OSU.

So they’re making fun of at the very least girls/women from Ohio, which would include those in your life (wife, friends, daughters). It’s not weird or a big deal when when they do it, but in your attempt to fit in with them, you ended up insulting pretty much any and every girl/woman in your life.
