I don’t even like OSU but how is this any different from what everyone else is doing?

They have finished outside the top 5 only twice in the last 10 years, out of the top 10 once. None out of the top 15. You're a bit melodramatic.

It’s not, it just seems like they’re trying harder than others.

The Rays are trying to buy a championship. Just not as hard a the Dodgers.

So dumb that Ohio st has been manhandled 3 years in a row by their rival whom they’ve ‘out recruited’ badly

You changed the goal posts. Your original post read that the players they recruit outside of a few are overrated. NFL rosters say otherwise.

How so? You’re not making any sense right now

Aren’t they supposed to ‘try harder’?

This guy could get the greatest class ever and still barely make any noise in the playoffs.

Recruiting hasn’t been their problem. It’s coaching.

Ryan Day has his hands full proving he is that coach. He has had far more talent than Michigan and can't beat them. He hasn't won his division or conference in 4 years with nothing but blueblood talent. ALABAMA destroyed him in our National Championship game. Ryan Day has everything to prove about what he can coach up. He's great at accumulating talent. Well, so was John Cooper. If not now, when? Ryan Day has his hands full proving he is that coach. So far, he isn't.

If OSU made a field goal in 2022 this entire thread is dead and gone.

Is Day a worse coach because that field goal was missed?

Every coach/player can’t win the big one until they do. Jordan/Lebron/Manning/Smart among hundreds of others

He may never do it but the logical fallacy that he hasn’t done it so it will never happen is such a terrible one

They're going to boat race Michigan this year. Michigan is going to suck.

Michigan has some talent returning, but I don't know if they have a capable QB. OSU should work everyone in the conference, except maybe Oregon.

in today's world of the transfer portal and NIL, this really doesn't matter nearly as much anymore... EVERY player is basically a 1 year rental player, so you can't extrapolate future success based on any one year of recruiting results, like you used to be able to, to a degree...

Ohio State is always going to be good, they one of the premier programs in the country, but this doesn't signal anything other than they have a good class going this year
