I have a crazy idea, if you don't want the call to be in the refs hands don't fumble the fricking snap? Is that getting lost in all of this?

i looked up the rule - only the fumbling player (or defense) can advance a ball on 4th down. If you fumble and another player recovers, its possession only (doesn't matter direction of fumble)
