Going heavy volume in the morning slot.

Iowa State +38. I think Iowa State can score just enough points to keep this game close enough.

Kansas State +4.

Miami +7.

Public got theirs last week with most of the top 10 covering. Hopefully the smart side wins this week.

Waco has had 6 inches of rain since 7AM on Thursday.

Suppose to be another long day of rain tomorrow.

What's your thoughts on this game? I want to bet Iowa State because this line seems inflated, especially in the rain, but it is difficult betting against a coach in Briles that intentionally runs up the score like a dick.

Last week he was out for blood. Passing up 24 with 3 minutes left.

Baylor is 17-3 ATS in the past 20 home games. We are a covering machine at home. With that said, the weather here is bad. The options are either steady rain or downpour but I actually don't think it affects our offense as much as most people would think. Looking at our previous games played in rain under Briles, Baylor doesn't change its game plan. They are still going to run a play based off the defense alignment. If ISU dares us to throw the ball deep in the rain, we are going to do just that. I guess this leaves the question as to whether one believe the weather will literally prevent the Baylor WR's from catching the ball. I think on slant/crossing routes that require quick throws we may see a few more dropped passes, but not so much on the long balls and no one is stopping Corey Coleman. Even if we rely on the run a little more than usual due to the weather, how effective is the 75th run defense going to be on the road against the 2nd best rushing offense in the nation. In the end, I think our offense is slightly less efficient than normal.

I can't speak much to ISU offense but I certainly think they can put up 21+ points on our defense.

Also, I've noticed this year books have been much closer in predicting the spread for Baylor games.

I am sorry that you are butthurt that Briles doesn't tell his second/third team to not try. You always mention him running up the score, so you must be personally affected by it. Kind of odd how fixated you are on it but whatever floats your boat man. He doesn't run the score up anymore than any other coach would in his situation - remember he isn't the coach that dropped 80+ points on a fellow conference team. I've seen him kneel the ball on 4th down to purposefully turn the ball over on downs instead of kick a FG. We threw with 3 minutes left in the game because WVU wasn't taking their foot off the gas. They scored a TD, onside kicked it (down 24 points with 3 minutes to go), recovered the onside kick, turned the ball over on downs, we ran the ball 7 times in a row, then threw a TD pass to a walk-on TE that gave up his scholarship for a younger player and transitioned from DT to TE - big deal. Note: all of these runs were done by a 4th string RB.

Edit: Went back and looked at play by play. Possession before the one described above we ran the ball 8 times in 9 plays. The one throw was a bubble screen for 13 yard gain. Not to mention the 8th run on that drive was a QB keeper up the middle on 4th and 7.

Going back to Kansas.

4Q play calls: 17 runs and 3 passes (2 completions for 17 yards).
